Modern payment methods are something quite wonderful. Apple Pay, PayPal, credit card – the list of payment options is long. Unfortunately, however, they can also present a jungle of problems. Do you always know exactly which payment method will work at the checkout? Sometimes you only need to place the card on the reader, other times you have to insert it. In some instances you have to sign your name, in others you have to enter your PIN. There are all kinds of methods and you never know which one you need until it’s time to pay.

As Customer Success Manager you are a trusted advisor who is familiar with our customers’ business and needs, and helps them to be successful with paymenttools. Your clear mission is: ‘Make the customer happy.’ You avert problems before they occur because you know exactly what obstacles the customer is likely to face.

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for customer retention and the after-sales customer experience.
  • You manage and develop national and international customer accounts and you’re the first point of contact for all business relationship-related issues.
  • You’re good at networking with an ability to identify customer problems, needs and further potential.
  • In this interface role you collaborate closely with our internal Product Management, Sales and DevOps teams.
  • You provide trustworthy advice in the process of explaining payment transaction developments and the advantages of our products.
  • You plan and conduct regular team meetings to discuss product optimisations from the customers’ perspective.
  • You represent the interests of and provide a voice for our customers.
  • You promote overall customer satisfaction and our customers’ acceptance of our products.

Your experience

  • Professional experience in consultancy, sales or as a customer success manager.
  • Ideally experience in the payments sector or in an enterprise environment.
  • Degree in business administration, business information systems or a similar subject.
  • Relationship-oriented with a good instinct for needs and pain points.
  • Good negotiating skills and a personable appearance.
  • Tech affinity and the right mindset to work at a fast-growing young company.
  • Strong communication skills and business fluent German and English.
  • Willing to travel occasionally on company business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
